Workplace Injury Clinic for Main Campus and Sinai-Grace Hospital Employees

When an injury at work occurs, DMC is dedicated to providing you with immediate access and the highest level of care, to help you get back to work and your busy life as quickly and safely as possible.

Our Workplace Injury Clinic at DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM), provides prompt care for non-emergency, workplace injuries sustained by main campus and Sinai-Grace Hospital (SGH) employees. The clinic is staffed by physicians and other healthcare professionals experienced in treating occupational injuries. Having these services at one location provides more efficient and timely care.

*Injured workers at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai should continue to report to the Occupational Health Department.

Accessing Care During Normal Business Hours

Should you become injured at work on main campus or at SGH during the normal business hours of Mon-Fri, from 8am-4:30pm, please follow the steps below:

  1. Report incident to your supervisor and complete an EE Injury Midas report online.
  2. Bring your assigned Midas number, insurance card and identification to RIM’s Workplace Injury Clinic immediately. No appointment is necessary. For SGH employees, report first to your current Occupational Health Dept. after completing the Midas report.
  3. Proceed to the Workplace Injury Clinic at RIM, located in the basement in suite B14.
  4. Follow instructions from the clinic regarding follow-up care.

Accessing Care After Hours*

  1. Report incident to your supervisor and complete an EE Injury Midas report online.
  2. Call Triage Now at 1-(844) 615-2945 and follow directions. If you are a SGH employee, your house supervisor will arrange  the call to Triage Now
  3. Have your assigned Midas number, and insurance information available.
  4. Follow instructions from the provider regarding follow-up care.

Occupational Health at DRH* and SGH

The Occupational Health Department at DRH and SGH will only continue to mange the following:

Work related:

  • Needle stick
  • Blood and body fluid exposure
  • Bites
  • Lacerations

Non injury related:

  • Vaccinations and immunizations
  • New employee physicals
  • FMLA related leave return to work

Emergency Care

Serious and life threatening injuries should report directly to DRH Emergency Department for Main Campus employees and to SGH Emergency Department for SGH employees.
