Archie Drake was named Chief Executive Officer at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in March of 2023.

He had been serving as the Interim CEO at CHM since December of 2022. He came to CHM from Tenet’s Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas, where he was Chief Operating Officer.

He has a visionary approach to strengthening staff, physician, and patient engagement, as well as a passion for operational excellence. His leadership successes have been based on a solid business acumen, broad based clinical and operational experiences, and creativity. He has extensive experience in hospital operations, strategic service line planning and patient care services.

Drake earned an undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of Texas-Arlington, and an MBA from Amberton University, Garland, Texas.
