Thank you for your interest in the DMC/Wayne State University School of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. Ours is a four-year program sponsored by the Detroit Medical Center. The program, currently approved for ten residency positions per year, makes the Detroit Medical Center one of the largest OB/GYN training programs in the nation. Clinical training takes place primarily at DMC Hutzel Women’s Hospital in Detroit.
For more than a century, the Wayne State University Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has provided women’s healthcare in the metropolitan Detroit area. The department offers a wide range of services that addresses every healthcare phase of a woman’s experience through her lifetime - from reproductive care through the childbearing and post-menopausal years. Our physicians and researchers are committed to providing the best patient care, teaching future leaders, and conducting innovative research.
The Detroit Medical Center residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology draws strength from the diversity and expertise of Wayne State University faculty and its close association with the Perinatology Research Branch of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development/National Institutes of Health, and the C. S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development.
