The DMC Fitness Training Center offers the following group exercise sessions:
Adaptive Tai Chi - Adaptive Tai Chi is uses gentle flowing movements while being mindful of body and spirit. Through consistent practice Tai Chi improves balance, strength, healing and wellness. It is a low impact form of exercise that is safe for all levels; It can be performed in sitting and standing.
Adaptive Yoga - Adaptive yoga is a traditional basic yoga class that modifies yoga poses to meet the needs of each individual in the class. The poses aid in improving balance, flexibility, ROM and strength and can help in reducing stress and promoting relaxation.
Beginner Boot Camp – A modified boot camp class geared toward beginners who are looking to mix up their routine and increase their workload. A challenging and motivational class that will work all muscle groups and burn calories!
Beginner Balance & Core- A low intensity class designed to help improve balance, focusing on strengthening the core by using bands, stability balls, and body weight to complete a series of exercises.
Body Blast - A mixture of strength and toning exercises for abdominal conditioning and major muscle groups including using your own body resistance, bands, weights, step and stability balls. Geared towards intermediate to advanced fitness levels, but all levels are welcome to attend!
Boot Camp - Combines traditional core and body weight exercises with strength and interval training. A supportive and motivational workout that will inspire participants to work their hardest. An intense class recommended for Intermediate to Advanced fitness levels.
Int./Adv. Circuit Training- This total body workout will move continuously through 7 stations of exercise that are performed for 1 minute each. Each station will vary in equipment and the muscles that are worked. Exercises are based on the intermediate and advanced fitness levels.
Pilates - Based on STOTT Pilates, a contemporary approach to the original method. It incorporates principles of spinal rehabilitation while enhancing athletic performance – making it one of the most sound & effective methods. The exercises are designed to balance the muscles around the joints & place more emphasis on core, hip & shoulder stability. Beginner and intermediate levels. Some small equipment used.
Stretch - A class designed for beginners to help increase flexibility and reduce tightness and stiffness.
Yoga - A workout that builds flexibility and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Focuses on controlled breathing, concentration, and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves, and poses to music that bring the body and mind into a state of harmony and balance.
Zumba - a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — and resistance training.
